I'm not sure where Almay thought they were going with this product, but I really don't think they got there...
This product had a strange texture/consistency to it. It felt very heavy and waxy when applied to my lips. And, at first, I figured that it was just that it needed to settle in. So, I gave it time to settle in. And, nothing. It still felt waxy and heavy.
The color looked like a dark, plummy pink in the tube. Note what I said? In the tube! When I applied it, it just looked pink. I'm talking, 'Crayola Crayon' pink. Almay says that the colors are supposed to be 'fresh and natural'. When I applied this, the first thing my boyfriend said was 'Your wearing lipstick'. Was that fresh and natural?
All in all, I think this product is perfectly average in every way. The appeal of this product is that it is supposed to be a cross between lipstick and chapstick (the ease of chapstick - for the girl on the go - with the color of a lipstick) And, with that theory, who could resist? Well, me for one. You might spend a little more at the start, but you'll come out money ahead to just buy the lipstick and chapstick.
