My hair is in such bad shape from sun, swimming, and dyeing it. As a last resort I went to a salon and talked to one of the stylists who recommended one of their new lines, Alterna, to me. The whole line is made with hemp seed oil which is very high in fatty acids. Supposedly it restructures the round shape of the hair shaft which is what gives hair that healthy look and feel. (As hair gets old and damaged the hair shaft can become flat or oval instead of round.) It has a rich, silky lather with the fragrance of pina colada. It leaves my hair very moisturized but squeaky clean at the same time. My hair is also much more manageable and lays better and I have also noticed an increase in shine and strength. Not much product is needed either.
