I love to go cosmetics shopping and watch MA's give makeovers. I was watching an Estee Lauder MA give one the other day and she started putting a clear gloss over a pretty shimmery eyeshadow. This was the look we have all seen on magazine covers- beautiful shimmery, "almost wet" eyes. I wanted that look but didn't know how to achieve it. I asked the MA (after her makeover, of course) what she used- she was very quiet when she handed it to me and said "Anna Sui, I don't normally mix lines but this person wanted this look." yadda, yadda, yadda- I bought the clear gloss and tried this at home. I like the look I get but haven't perfected mixing it w/ my eyeshadow. I have been using it alone on those "natural" days. It hasn't broken me out (for those of your wondering). It has an oily consistency but is really nice on (I have oily skin as well). I would recommend the colored or glittery ones more than the clear. Also, Anna Sui has some really great products, all have her signature "rose" scent in them and have great pigment to them. I highly recommend her line of cosmetics.
