I chose this shampoo in an effort to buy safer and more environmentally friendly products. It is good because it contains only natural ingredients and contains no artificial preservatives. It works as good as any regular shampoo I've tried, and better than some. It doesn't dry my hair out the way some other products have. I gave it a 3 because I don't find the smell appealing, and because it sometimes makes my scalp itch. I haven't figured out why this is. I purchased the shampoo at a natural foods store. I will probably keep looking for another natural shampoo.
