Surprisingly Pleased
I have only tried minerals one time before, and my experience was not good, so I resisted this product for quite a long time. I always thought that since my skin was dry, I could never wear a powder foundation -- that it would just sit on my skin rather than blend into it.
But not so with this foundation! I caved because I was looking for something that would be gentle and good for my skin while providing coverage of my recent breakouts. I definitely found it in this foundation.
I use the Flawless Application brush (after some trial and error with the Kabuki) and find that it works best for providing smooth and even coverage. After one application, my skin looks radiant: the problem areas are blurred, but you can still "my" skin under there, unlike the heavy liquid foundations I was used to. It is wonderfully weightless and refreshing. I feel "clean" when I wear it :)
I also love using the Maximum Coverage concealer brush to post-conceal; that is, to use a more concentrated amount of the foundation to "blur" out red spots and problem areas and provide a base for eyeshadow.
I deducted a star because the application can be tricky, and if not done right, you can end up with big splotches of foundation that are difficult to blend-- or no coverage at all. But, with practice, that can definitely be overcome.
