This is an excellent setting powder for anyone with oily or combination skin. It is a transparent mineral product, that instantly gives your skin a matte finish and really helps it stay that way throughout the day when worn over makeup. I do not use any of the other Bareminerals makeup that BareEscentuals makes, but this will work over over any kind of makeup. I usually have oil breakthrough a few hours after applying makeup, but this has fixed that problem and also sets your makeup very well so that everything lasts longer. In warmer weather you may have to reapply later in the day to the t-zone
