I saw this adorable old fashioned looking tin in the BeneFit section of Sephora, so like everything in Sephora, I stuck my finger in it. Though it was a solid, it felt oily, like liquid, and smelled divine, but I still had no idea what it was. So I picked up the box and I read "A Velvet Body Balm". What the hell is a body balm? I assumed (correctly) that it was a moisturizer. For the smell and novelty alone, I decided to spend $26 on 4 oz of this stuff. When I got home I opened the tin and there was a velvet puff on one side and the balm on the other. I grabbed the puff, swirled it along the balm, and rubbed it along my arms and legs. It made them literally feel like velvet (though it is a touch oily) but the smell, wow, it smelled like I just stepped out of the shower, only better. When my sister came over she noticed the new addition on my dresser right away. She asked me what it was and I proudly held out my arm. Needless to say she now has her own Bathina Body Balm. I can't believe I would ever say this about a body moisturizer, cream, oil, balm, whatever - but it's actually one that I would say is worth a $26 price tag.
