Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner is one of the best eyeliners on the market IMO. The product imparts a precise line, fine or thick depending your application technique. If you want a softly lined look then this product wouldn't be for you. It's easy to apply once you get the hang of it. BB sells an eyeliner brush that is specifically designed for use with the gel eyeliners, but purchasing it isn't a must IMO. Many people use wedge brushes and eyeliner brushes from brands other than BB. It depends on what works best for you. The creamy formula is richly pigmented and has excellent staying power. My eyelids are oily, and this product lasts all day and then some. I have Granite Ink (very dark gray, close to soft black), Sepia Ink (blackened brown), and Violet Ink (blackened purple). All three colors flatter my brown eyes and look natural enough on me that they work with just about any eyeshadow in my collection. I usually wear Sepia for neutral and warm looks and Granite and Violet for neutral and cool eye looks. I wear my gel eyeliners often and consider them worthwhile purchases.
