I tried this on at Sephora in the Dallas Galleria and wore it for half a day. It is a deep brown color with some purple and red. It is really pretty in a distinctive way even on my pale skin-definitely sophisticated, not cute. It lasted a long time, even through eating. I applied it more like a stain, since I had to scrape some from the side of the tube. Cherrywood was on the Fall display, but I checked the Sephora site and it wasn't formerly shown there as part of the fall collection, however, it is on the "makeover" page. The lipstick looked sheer on my hand, but it was deeply pigmented, although not heavy, on my lips. I tried it on just because it seemed oddly dark, but it was very wearable. I looked at it mostly in dark mall lighting, but outside it also looked natural. This is definitely something to check out if you are looking for a dark color that is somehow more "natural" looking than the average dark color. I think it costs $16 but is definitely different enough to justify that. Most other colors similar to this have a little brighteness or are a blackberry color. This one was more brown and purple.
