When I first got this compact, I felt a bit foolish spending so much money on something that does so little...however, it does do it very well. My skin is very pale and is easily irritated, resulting in blotches and redness. It is easy for me to look like I have "bad" skin because so much of what is happening underneath the surface is somewhat visible. A layer of Real Skin (use your fingers, not the sponge unless you want to buy a refill every week!) over my usual sunscreen and topped with a dusting of powder lasts ALL DAY with minimal powder touch-up in the afternoon. It also has been less irritating to my skin than other foundation products, meaning there is less redness to cover up in the first place. Although it is a bit too expensive, I think I will be buying a refill of this product after all.
