When I first tried these, I thought they were weird. These sheets are made of a very thin plastic-like material and not the tissue-like material I am used to. They also changed to a clear color as it absorbed. I was kind of doubtful whether these plastic-like sheets would absorb anything but the results are great. It not only removed the excess oils but also significantly reduced the shine----and all without the use of any powders. The packaging didn't really describe what the material is and how it absorbs etc...but I would be very curious to know. The price is pretty nice too compared to the Shiseido sheets although they are a little smaller in size.
