When I first tried Advanced Concealer at home, it looked dry and pasty under my eyes. So, I called the store where I bought it and talked with a makeup consultant. She told me that the dry skin around my eyes was absorbing the concealer. She said I should give this dry skin "a drink" before applying Advanced Concealer, meaning to 1st moisturize the outer eye area with my regular moisturizer; 2nd, to use my oil-free eye cream; and 3rd, to "pat" a small amount of the Advanced Concealer into the skin. It worked! No more flaky, crusty-looking skin around my eyes, and the dark circles have all but vanished. Oh! One more tip she gave me which you will love: After applying your eye cream, let it "sink in" for a minute, then put a good sunblock under your eyes to "cushion" the concealer. Your makeup will look even more matte and it will wear longer, too.
