Clinique Sheer Matteness was useful sometimes. The purpose of this product was to control the oiliness of the T-zone by absorbing the oil. It worked well in non-humid weather and the performance was good. I found myself not having to touch up that much. However in extreme hot and humid weather, this product did not function well. In this case, my oily t-zone became worst and this product did not help at all. I applied a large amount, about half a pea size amount, and my nose would grease up, half an hour later. Another downside of this product was the streaking. When I applied my Oil of Olay SPF 15 first and then Sheer Matteness, I ended up with a white streak on the tip of my nose! I did let my SPF 15 dry well first but it did not help the situation, maybe I applied too much. One thing for sure, Sheer Matteness will not stop an oily t-zone from producing more oil, since it is not an anti-perspirant for the face. It wimped out in Hot and Humid weather, so use it only in mild weather!
