My last "matte" lipstick was dry as a bone--left my lips feeling like well-tanned leather. Having said that, this Clinique Soft Matte lipstick was such a nice surprise! It went on creamy and smooth, then "settled" on my lips and didn't budge for 3 hours--quite a feat for me. Didn't leave me feeling parched, and the color "Island Punch"--a vivid punchy pink/red--stayed put. No bleeding or fading. This product has renewed my faith in "matte" lipsticks! Amen!
