I have mixed feelings about this product. My skin tends to be very oily with occasional breakouts. The woman at the Clinique counter who sold me the product told me that it would clear up any breakouts and reduce shine. This product is just too strong. It has a very potent chemical smell to it. While it does remove any last traces of impurities that remain after cleansing, it burns too much to use it too often and drys out the skin. Drying out skin does not correct oily skin. It only makes problems worse by forming a layer of flaky peeling skin, with underlying oily skin.
