This is a compact powder foundation that you can apply wet or dry with the enclosed sponge. I chose the lighted shade, 01 Ivory, and although it looked dark in the compact, it blended invisibly into my light, yellow-based skin. This compact only comes in about 5 shades. My skin is oily and this lasted all day when applied dry. I havent tried it with a wet sponge yet. I was skeptical to try this because like all DHC products, it contains olive oil and I was concerned that it would be bad for my oily skin. I was wrong, the foundation is very absorbant and not heavy or chalky.
