I've heard some raves about this soap so I decided to try this on my face. Prior to that I've been using DOVE SOAP on my body, and it always left my skin dry, so I was surprised when this did not dry out my face. The soap does not really lather well and melts easily. But the soap really cleanses the face well, a seperate makeup remover was not needed for my light makeup. It does leave my face feeling dry at times, but this is more gentle than many more expensive facial cleansers I've tried. For comparison purpose, I feel that this is more gentle than Cliniques' mile soap bar.
