I know this bar has become a household name in the dermatological world, but I'm one of the few who will not sing its praises.
The ingredients list for one is nothing but a bunch of pore clogging oils. Tallow, stearic acids(often derived from fish oil), palm kernelate, and then my favorite BHT-Butylated Hydroxy Toluene. You are washing your face with nail polish remover! And pssst, masking fragrance is not unscented. No wonder why it burned when I had a rosacea flare up-but alas the derm assured me this was the key to beautiful skin.... Not to mention it dried me out, and gave me pimples.
Is anyone aware the same guys who make lever 2000 make Dove too. Eeek!
Run away, run far away from Dove. Given its gentleness, it should be called Vulture. AHHHHHHHH!
