This is way overpriced for just a basic foundation. It's for normal/combo skin. It's oil free and oil absorbing (not true on the latter). I was shiny 1-2 hours after application. The consistency of the makeup is thick and "souffle-like." I bought 09-soft sand, which is still a little too dark for my light skin but the ivory shade, which may be the lightest, is pink based. This color, soft sand, was labeled W1 (warm 1) on the tester bottle so I gather it's the lightest warm shade they have. I have used EL's Double Matte Liquid SPF15 in warm bisque previously and that shade too, although the lightest warm shade they carry, is still too dark for me. I guess EL doesn't cater to white people cause I've had problems finding shades light enough. Ideal Matte is just average, there are better foundations out there.
