It comes as no surprise that this Extra Large Round Brush is the best brush for medium and long hair I've found. I've long been a fan of Frederic Fekkai's shampoos and conditioners, thus it follows that his hair care implements would be of the same exceptional quality.

Why is this the best by far brush? For several reasons: Made in France of precisely cut natural bristles, with a 3 sided 4 inch handle the brush is easy to grasp and maneuver. To top that off, the grain of the polished wood in the handle is lovely. The bristles are sturdy yet not sharp so they easily grasp the hair while not biting the scalp. Unfortunately, some lesser brushes I've owned had needle sharp artificial bristles that were more pain than gain.

I've learned not to take too much hair as that just results in tangles. Better to start at the roots and take care not to twist the brush but move it straight along the hair. Also, instructions recommend directing "the air flow of the blow dryer directly at the brush to create tension between the brush and hair."

Works for me! But then, Fekkai products always do.
