This lip gloss is on the "softer" side of glossy -- subtle shine and shimmer, not slick high gloss. I took one point off for that since it's billed as a gloss when it's actually more of a balm. It goes on nicely, feels moisturizing and smells great without imparting any off flavor. Looking at the ingredients, I noticed it contains no petroleum products, which is a plus in my book.
