When I first opened the pigment side of the double sided tube (the other side being the top coat) I was disappointed. The pigment looked dried and gritty. Stirring, I found, seemed to solve the problem. The pigment still looks gritty but I found it goes on smoothly and I liked the colors enough to make up for the texture. It did no last quite as long as Max Factor's longlast lipstick and the top coat was not all together pleasing but, at 1/3 the price of Max Factor it was worth it.
