Because I LOVED (loved loved) the Jane Weather Wear lipstick in "Campfire Grrl" and "Jewel" I went back to puchase two more colors: "Dazzling Date" and "Romeo." This lipstick is actually a sheer gloss, not an opaque lipstick. It goes sooooo smoothly, has a nice minty smell, and adds just the perfect, tasteful amount of color, shimmer and gloss (unlike with some glossy lipsticks, you don't look like you just ate a pork chop.)
In the tube "Dazzling Date" appears to have a "wine" undertone, but when applied, it's a very sheer brown with some shimmer. Much too light and much too brown for my Irish coloring -- green eyes, very pale pink-toned skin, and dark hair. But on other skin tones it might look wonderful.
"Romeo," however, is an almost unwearable shade of fushia pink. The color screams CHEAP! Avoid this shade unless you're under 12, and even then I'd be tempted to make my daughter wipe it off.
I have saved the day by wearing these two colors together -- paired they make a nice bright brown/pink that's quite wearable for me, so all was not lost.
