This mascara is very smooth, clump-free, and fiber-free. It doesn't dry too quickly, so you can build layers without spikiness or flaking. The color is not super-intense, just a basic black, and this mascara is really good for natural, even, smooth definition. It really does lengthen well, and thickens some, but it's meant to be natural, so thickening is not the main objective. This is a really good, and inexpensive mascara. It is a little hard to wash off, and takes me two times around with the cleanser, but it doesn't smudge or travel under the eyes during the day, so maybe that's the trade-off. I even like this better than the new Clarins, which I thought was my favorite.
