I'm really looking forward to summer, so anything that evokes images of beaches and sunny weather is catching my eye these days. After hearing so much talk about salt sprays designed to give your hair a wavy, tousled, 'just-left-the-beach' look, I picked up this product, one of the few low end options available.
The spray actually consists of a layer of oils (to condition the hair) and then the salt water solution, so the bottle needs a good shake before applying to mix the two together. The scent of this spray is one of the things I like most about it---like a salty breeze mixed with that classic suntan lotion fragrance---very summery. Spray on enough to dampen the hair, and scrunch. Using it on almost dry hair seems to produce the best results on me, though the bottle claims it can be used on wet or dry hair. (It also works well with a diffuser.) And while it does give a very sexy tousled look, there are a few drawbacks: using too much, or too often will leave your hair feeling gritty and greasy, and the waves that result will fall pretty quickly unless some kind of hairspray or styling product is used to set them. Overall, I really like this spray, it's an easy way to get great looking hair, and come summertime I know I'll be reaching for this a lot!
