I've tried just about every La Mer product and this is the first one that disappointed me. Fortunately, I got it as a free sample when I bought the La Mer moisturizing lotion (which is incredible, by the way). The La Mer rep told me I could also use the cleansing lotion to remove eye makeup, so I figured this stuff would be superior to my other face soaps, which usually don't do the job. Boy, was I wrong. Not only was the cleansing lotion horrible greasy - the stuff just sat on my face - but it seemed to just glide over my eye makeup, not even removing a smidgen. I actually had to use my regular face soap immediately after washing with the La Mer cleansing lotion, just to wash the oily film off my face. I won't be buying the full-size bottle of this one. La Mer is too expensive to be putting out weak products.
