I've always wondered how make-up artists get celebrities' faces to look so dewy and fresh, especially now since the matte look is out. I did some homework of my own by searching through some beauty mags (this was before I found iCompact.com). I found every shimmer powder under the sun in every price range known to man. However, my concern was my oily skin and was it going to make it shine like a ski slope on a sunny day or not! I almost bought this product in the Clarins line for a wacked out price of $35.00 but was turned off by the shaker bottle--uncontrollable. I stumbled across this product by Lancome by mistake. It comes in three shades--a neutral shimmer, a rosy shimmer, and a peachy shimmer. It's packaged in a compact like a blush and comes with a great fluffy brush. But the best part is it's OIL FREE!!!!! Then I knew it wouldn't clog my pores or give me more zits. It's just the right consistency, goes on great, comes with a useable brush, and delivers just the right amount of shimmer. I dust a little up and down the center top of my nose and a little at the temples forming a C around my eyes. I also dab a little on my chin. It stays put, and doesn't flake or run. The amount of shimmer isn't overwhelming either like the others I looked at, and this beats the socks of the $35.00 Prescriptives Magic powder which I find I need a heck of a lot of to get nearly the same effect. Plus I think Magic makes me break out as does most anything that contains Mica--the ingredient that makes stuff shiny. Anyway, I seemed to have found the stuff that creates that natural glow. I rec this for us gals who don't tan especially. Everything shimmery seems to be in a bronze base which ends up looking like dirt anyway. Kudos to Lancome for getting this one right!!
