This gel-type cleanser is wonderful!!! It has tiny beads which help to gently exfoliate on a daily basis. My facialist suggested that I try a beta-hydroxy face wash and gave me several samples of some of the products she sells in her shop. These were more expensive, smelled horrible, didn't remove make-up and irritated my skin. This cleanser was just the opposite. It was gentle but left my face smooth and clean. The smell is wonderful, it smelly faintly of roses. I highly recommend this. It is worth the $$$. After washing with it at night, my face is clarified and glowing! It definately removes make-up (not eye make-up, of course) and dirt. Try it if you have normal to oily skin. I do not know how dry skin would respond, but it isn't drying to my skin.
