This is a great matte lipstick that goes on smooth and velvety. It is not too matte like MAC lipsticks are and not drying at all. Rouge Absolu gives good coverage without any noticible fragrance. I find the square tube is better to carry around in my bag because the lipstick does not end up being twisted and mashed into the top.
