When I put on the first layer of this polish, I must admit my first thought was, "What the hell did I buy?" Let me emphasize that you should not stop at one coat, otherwise the color (at least on my skin) looked sickly. I proceeded to add a total of 3 coats, and it took a while for me to adjust to it. This shade is indeed a bright orange, to go along with their Spring 2000 pollen shades. My boyfriend did not like it at all at first. The next day, however, I remember thinking that the shade looked different and pretty. I received compliments on the "nice, fresh spring shade" on my nails. My bf eventually came around and said he had adjusted to the initial shock. I bought some coral-ish/orange shades of makeup since, and I love the overall effect. Also, the quality of the polish itself is excellent. I didn't use any topcoat/basecoat product, and it stayed on nicely without chipping for at least 5 days or more. Used appropriately, this shade is a subtle way to spice up your look.
