Those familiar with Laura Mercier's line of skin care, items and makeup know that she's an original with the highest standards. So, it isn't any surprise that her first fragrance is lovely.

L'Heure Magique (The Magic Hour) is appropriately named. As many know, photographers view dusk as the magic hour, that time of day when the light begins to fade and the world may seem bathed in gold. For poets and novelists it's a very romantic time of day as twilight slowly approaches. L'Heure Magique is a romantic scent, a light oriental fragrance enhanced by cyclamen, pikake petals, ylang-ylang and violet. It's sensual yet very clean and crisp.

Ms. Mercier is a collector of vintage perfume bottles; she turned to these for inspiration for her bottle, which is a classic beveled glass topped by a handsome free form matte silver cap.

Available in an eau de parfum spray, L'Heure Magique also holds notes of white roses, pink geraniums, sandalwood, vanilla and musk, all resulting in an elusive, elegant scent. - Gail Cooke
