This is a very nice powder. I've tried several unsuccesfully including Chanel (nice texture but no color match for me), Bobbi Brown (too orange), Clinique (too pink), and Estee Lauder (too pink and cakey). Laura Mercier is incredibly silky, and gives a wonderful finish that leaves your skin smooth without that powdery, cakey look. None of the other powders I've tried leave as nice of a finish- they all look powdery. This one even feels silkier and finer. I took off a point for the price, and also because it only lasts until late morning, but I have oily/combo skin. Laura Mercier recommends using her powder puff and a special application technique, but I use a powder brush and it works fine.
