I bought this concealer when I had grown tired (read: disgusted and fickle) with my old concealer and wanted something newer, lighter, more effective, and a better match for my pale, olive complexion that had recently suffered some nasty breakouts. Well, this concealer is newer, lighter, perhaps a better match for my complexion, but I would hardly say it is more efficient in covering up blemishes. This is not to the concealer's discredit: the formula is simply beautiful. It is light, sheer, and true to the product name, simply disappears into the skin like butter. It makes an excellent concealer for my violet toned undereye area, as well as for the areas on my face that have shadows I would like to lighten. For my blemishes, it does a decent job, and for my pale red scars, it does nothing at all. I will keep this concealer, and probably continue to purchase it for my dark shadows, because for those, I think it is a lovely (affordable for my student's budget) produt. For my blemishes and fading scars, I shall have to look elsewhere...sigh....
