I had heard great things about this newer L'Oreal line, and thought I'd dive in with a dramatic dark, warm red. "Fired Up" is a gorgeous color; however, the first time I wore it--on bare lips--it bled and left a pink haze around my mouth--I ended up looking like Courtney Love after an hour or two. NOT the look I was going for. The second time I wore it, I used a foundation on my lips first (Almay Kinetin), let it dry, and then applied the lipstick. The result? MUCH better the second time. Lasted heroically through three hours of talking, eating and drinking at a wedding reception. Moisturizing, this color is NOT, however. After the reception I ran for my chapstick and sacrificed long-wearing for comfort. If endurance is your main objective, you might want to give this one a try--but wait until it goes on sale...
