I like the color of this lipstick -- a wine color that tends more toward berry than toward plum. It is moisturizing but not as much as I'd been expecting from the ads. As a point of reference, I consider lipsticks such as Vincent Longo lipstains and Chantecaille lipstick, as well as low-end products like CG Smoothers, to be the pinnacle of moisturizing. (CG Smoothers in particular has a lovely silky, almost slippery texture that just glides on and feels moist for hours, with surprising staying power -- I just find the color selection to be too limited.) This lipstick has a fairly average texture -- a little "stiffer" than I'd like in a moisturizing lipstick. But it does apply evenly, without emphasizing dry flakes, and has good staying power. So I do tend to wear it often on days when I'm rushed.
