I have very long, thin, invisible lashes. I don't need lengthening--I need volume and thickness. I also prefer brown mascara, which can be difficult to find in a drugstore line. This brown-black is more black than brown. The formula can also really clump; my solution is to wipe off the wand--not once, but twice. That still leaves plenty of thickening, volumizing, lush-looking mascara, without the clumps. With those two caveats in mind, this is almost as good as my Holy Grail, Estee Lauder's More Than Mascara, which unfortunately is no more. This is much more affordable, looks nearly as good, washes off with soap and water, and lasts all day without smearing. What more could a girl want? They also make a waterproof version, but I haven't tried that yet.
