Loreal's always put out the very best facial (as in base/powder) cosmetics that your drugstore dollar can buy, and their Hydra Perfecte powder, a lovely, shimmery and marvelously milled product, is just one of their more AVERAGE products (the Feel Naturale powder being the very, very best). It goes on silky smooth, stays put and looks - well, just FAKE, no thanks to the shimmer and cakey coverage (even with a little). Now, as it seems to provide coverage, I'd still recommend it to people with oily, break-out prone skin because it DOES control oil amazingly and looks nice and matte (I just tend to go more for the natural look, so this isn't my forte. Plus it's PINKY. I'm OLIVE. Ewwww.). If you're in search of the perfect looking powder to flatter your minimal makeup, you won't find it here - try a light dusting of Corn Silk's translucent loose powder (magical stuff. Purely magical).
