I used Lancome's liquid eyeliner in brown for almost ten years because of the smooth fluid texture. I was happily suprised to find that MAC's "cake" liner allowed me to use a lot or a little (or no!) water to make just the right color intensity. Also, it's the right shade of brown...not too dark. Seems more sanitary in the tiny compact, too.
