MAC doesn't release new Paints very often so I was glad to find out the company was releasing new ones for this collection – Bare Canvas, Naturalism, Portraiture, and Tan Ray. I had high hopes for them, and they didn't disappoint me. I love tans and browns so these shades were right up my alley. First of all, these Paints contain little to no shimmer so definitely check out these if you aren't into glitzy eye shadows. Second, these cream eye shadows are very durable – the most durable on the market for me, and I have extremely oily lids. I wear one of my MAC Paints every day as an e/s base, and my powder eye shadows last all day. These also blend well and feel light on the lids. One thing I dislike about many cream eye shadows is that they feel heavy to me, but when I wear my Paints it feels like I am wearing nothing. Now onto the fun stuff: Bare Canvas is a light yellow-based beige, Naturalism is deep brown, Portraiture is terracotta (without being overly orange), and Tan Ray is a soft golden tan. They coordinate well with each other and with many other eye shades since they are neutral – though the warm side of neutral. I love these Paints, and they get nothing but raves from me.
