I purchased this Pigment when it was first released, but am only now getting around to reviewing it. Old Gold is a complex color: a gleaming slightly orange-y brown that flashes gold and lime green. It looks great with my brown eyes and medium olive skin. Old Gold is one of those colors that changes slightly, depending on what other eyeshadows you wear with it. I use OG as a lid shade, crease shade and smudged over eyeliner. I also like to layer it over other eyeshadows to add zing. Some MAC Pigments have a chunky texture, but OG isn't one them. The texture is smooth and is easily blended. As much as I like it, OG isn't a shade that can go from day to night (for me, at least). The color is too strong for the office and most day wear, but I love to wear it at night when I'm in the mood for a fun eye look. It can be worn lightly so the color isn't as in-your-face, but the color still isn't at all tame. This is neither good nor bad. It just depends on the looks you favor. If you're into "different" types of colors, give OG a look-see.
