this is a great toner. For me, the function of a toner is to act as a type of freshner and prep your skin for moisturizer/treatments. it should be gentle yet be able to remove any left over dirt that your cleanser failed to pick up (but if that's the case, then your cleanser isn't working!). most importantly, it should be alcohol free. this toner does exactly that. it is alcohol free and because it's designed for normal/dry or dehydrated skin, it doesn't strip the skin from its natural oils or softness. even though i have combination skin i don't use harsh 'astringents' as those are horrible for the skin. this toner helps me feel clean and though many regard the whole toner step useless, i still like to use one at night to make sure my skin really is clean and i'm not going to sleep with who-knows-what still on my face. it's regular price is $11.50-ish CDN for 170ml pink bottle from shoppers/pharmaplus. also, on the bottle it says that it's hypo-allergenic, non-comodegenic and fragrance free.
