meh...
OK so I had a return for Wal-Mart (surprise surprise!) and they gave me store credit. Of course, I ran directly to the cosmetics :) I'd been wanting to try this for a while now. I've heard both GOOD and BAD things about it, but I'm an adventurous type and haaaaad to try this. After all, I wasn't out any money since I had the gift card.

The thing that I like about this is when it dries, it literally DOES feel like my skin-It doesn't feel mask-like and doesn't rub off easy. HOWEVER! It's a BIG HUGE HONKIN' HASSLE to apply. I have taken the advice of several reviewers on Makeup Alley and tried wetting the sponge, wetting the foundation, and wetting BOTH the sponge AND the foundation-and either way, it winds up streaky. BIG HUGE streaks aren't very attractive! It also dries very fast, which makes touch ups impossible. I cannot "blend it like there's no tomorrow" (as someone suggested), because it dries quite fast! What I've been doing to use this up is applying it the best I can, then running my kabuki brush over my face. This way works to get rid of the unsightly streaks.

The coverage for this IS flexible (more water for sheerer coverage, less water for heavier), but the staying power isn't anything to "write home" about! It lasts about as long as an average drugstore foundation. it doesn't disappear, but it doesn't last as long as my PF Mineral Loose Powder. If you're prone to shine in certain areas like most normal people, this will not hang onto those areas very well. My nose is the shine-omitter for me, and I was not pleased to see this stuff slipping off my nose after a few hours!

I guess if you're a pro makeup artist who has the extra special talent to apply this, and you're not needing extra-long wear, it might work for you. However, I'm heading back to PF Mineral Loose Powder. Whoever would have thought that Max Factor, the makeup of old movie and TV artists, would place BEHIND Physician's Formula?
