I didn't know how much I needed a slant-tipped brush until I bought this. Maybelline appears to be the only drugstore makeup line making a brush of this type, and it is affordable as well as high quality. This brush is fantastic to use on eyebrows to apply brow powder or soften pencil; it can also be used as an eyeliner brush to apply eyeshadow at the lash lines and, as the packaging states, it can be used as a contour brush to apply shadow in the crease of the eye. It's an indispensible tool, and much more affordable than similar brushes made by Frederic Fekkai and MAC.
