I tried the colors on the sampler at the store on my inner wrist. This really helped me to choose Natural Beige because it showed the least contrast on my wrist. I put it on really lighly with my fingers because it is a tad too dark-but the color is right. I will probably try using a brush next. I really think this foundation gave my face a fantastic look, even though it was a little dark for me. Once on, it really blended in. It looks really natural-but that is an overused word. This is really different from other powders and foundations I've used. It doesn't cover much including my pores (I used concealer for red areas and it doesn't hide wrinkles), but somehow it took the tired, sallow look out of my skin. The hollows under my eyes looked better, even though I didn't put it there. I put it on with the sponge later-it looked a little dark, but after a couple of minutes it blended into my skin. I gave it a 4 because the sunscreen isn't very good. It doesn't have titanium dioxide or zinc oxide so doesn't bprotect against UVA. I wear sunblock, anyway, so it doesn't matter. I wouldn't want to recommend this for blocking the sun.
