Actually a sweet Icompactor sent this gloss to me after my hunt for it turned up nothing. Blue Blast is an LE shade from Maybelline's 2004 Fly Blue collection. It is a blue gloss with lots of somewhat chunky glitter and a violet sheen. Pale lipped girls might wanna shy away from this one, it will look blue on you! However, pigmented lips gals listen up...with a little bit of color theory involved, we all know that if you mix blue and red together, you get violet. Voila! That's what happens with this gloss on pigmented lips. The blue counteracts with the pigmentation of your lips and you have an intersting shade of voilet. Granted, applied heavily this will still have a blue undertone, but a sheer wash of it on lips provides a uniqe violet. This is a unique gloss, especially for a drugstore brand. Plus it feeds into my fetish of blue glosses.
