I don't know why Maybelline advertises this as sooo shiny. It does not at all look like it does in the commercials or ads. Basically it's a sheer frost lipstick. I do like the product though. The color I have is Gem Crushed Merlot a sheer sparkly red. It's not as dark as I would like so I add a little lip liner to it to intensify the color.
