this really is the blackest black mascara i have ever come across. unlike a lot of people i prefer the liquidy texture of great lash mascaras. however...the downside is that it doesn't have a long wear time. smudging does occur. but i'm willing to put up with it for the fact that it makes me lashes look great..i can do a few touch ups. i like the smaller brush as well, makes application a breeze
