I got this because it sounded good....smudge proof mascara that wasn't waterproof (less chance of flakes)! So0o0o....I bought it, and was slightly disappointed. The mascara feels like its waterproof-a little flaky and heavy. It didn't flake as much as a regular waterproof one-but it still did a little. I found myself rubbing my eyes and looking forward to when I could take it off!! I will say this much-all that rubbing did not smudge the mascara! So yes, it truly is "smudge proof". I don't plan on repurchasing though...I guess the search continues....
