When I first tried this mascara, I really had no expectations for it. I found the staying power of the Volum' Express Waterproof mascara (Very Black) is excellent. In general, I like to wear waterproof makeup, just because with mascaras, I find it helps keep my eyelashes curled, etc. After a couple of uses, I was pretty pleased with the thickening power of the mascara. I had tried another Maybelline product at the same time as this one, and immediately went back to the Volum' Express Waterproof. Great all-around mascara!
