When that whole eyes-lips-cheeks multiple stick craze emerged, I wasn't too thrilled. But I wanted to get one to save space for my recent vacation. I decided to purchase one of the best brands: NARS. I LOVE this product. I tried out several at the Sephora store, and surprisingly, I liked Waikiki. Before going into the store, I had checked out the colors online, and Waikiki looked way too dark. But Ibiza was a flashy, commonplace gold that can only be used as a highlighter, and you can get decent ones like that for much cheaper. Palm Beach was a little darker but yet too gold. Copacabana was this shimmery color that again could be used as a highlighter--not what I was looking for. Malibu looked too pink, and the others just weren't that intriguing. You have to decide what look you're going for when selecting the color, and I wanted a sunkissed look. Waikiki is perfect for that. Ironically, I walked along Copacabana Beach wearing the Waikiki stick!
Don't let the color of the stick scare you. It blends to a perfect tan color. I already have high cheekbones, so I use the product to sculpt them, and the effect is fabulous. It's the look I wanted when I purchased Club Monaco's sunkissed cheek dew (a disappointment), but it doesn't leave a slick feeling on the skin. It truly does go on as a cream, is easy to blend, and turns to powder. It has the longer-lasting effects of a cream blush as well. Plus it also looks great as an eyeshadow. My lids don't crease, so I can't comment on that one. I haven't used it on my lips, either, since I'm not that into brown lipstick. The staying power of this product is decent. I wore it during 17 hours of time spent on planes and in airports, and it lasted for many hours, though not till the end of my last flight. It can also be used as a great decollatage enhancer. It's a bit pricey, but after using it for several weeks, I think it's a great find.
